SHIRLEY HACKNEY
Haysi, VA- Shirley Hackney, age 37 of Welcome Lane Road, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at her home. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of Norma Hobbs Stacy and the late Willard Stacy. She was a homemaker and member of Little David Old Regular Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Stafford Stacy Jr.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Lee Hackney, three sons, Daniel Lee (Amanda) Hackney, Scott (Traci) Hackney and Jeffrey (Samantha) Hackney Jr. all of Haysi, a daughter, Patsy Hackney of the home, two sisters, Tammy (Steve) Stanley of Haysi and Becky (Clinton) Looney of Prater, two stepbrothers, Terry Wolford and Danny Ray Stacy, three step-sisters, Joyce, Brenda and Betty Stacy, 11 grandchildren, Tanner, Madlyn, Serenity, Shasta, Alillionna, Aveyara, Anthony, Sarah, Bethany, Kayli and Gracie, two special nieces, who were like daughters, Sabrina Dales and Tabitha Hackney and their children, Harley and Mason, and several other nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Little David Old Regular Baptist Church with Elders David O’quinn, Frank Newsome, Larry Harget and Jim Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in A.F. Deel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott, Daniel, Jeffrey Jr., Paul, Danny and Kelly Hackney. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. at the church on Tuesday and Wednesday with an evening service each night at 7:00p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com
