Obituary for Garry Clay Edwards

Garry Clay  Edwards
GARRY CLAY EDWARDS
Hillsville, VA- Garry Clay Edwards, age 52, formerly of Haysi, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at his home. Born in Kingsport, TN, he was a son of Irene and the late Dallas Edwards of Haysi, VA. He was a 1982 Haysi High School graduate and a 1990 SVCC graduate and had been employed by Caterpillar for the past five years. Garry was a believer and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Mackenzie Brianna Edwards of Nora, three sisters, Sandra (Jimmy) Marshall of Haysi, Connie (Rodney) Swiney of Jeffersonville, KY and Amy (Jeff) Gobble of Glade Spring, three nephews, Austin and Nick Swiney and Dallas Gobble and a niece, Laura Beth Gobble.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Joel Turner and Roger Fuller officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Edwards Community Cemetery, Birchleaf, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Charles Caviness will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
