GLENA MAE DEEL
Vansant,VA- Glena Mae Deel, age 61, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Buford and Melvina Deel Conaway. She was a 1971 Haysi High School graduate, a homemaker and member of Emmanuel Old Regular Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Cledith and Garnie Ray Conaway and a sister, Kathy Yates.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Deel, a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Christina Deel of Haysi, grandsons, Lukas and Connor Deel, sisters, Linda (Russell) Lockhart and Rhonda (Randy) Ramey both of Vansant, nieces, Chasity Owens and Beth Bell and a nephew, Terry Wayne Yates.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Jim Blankenship, Danny Yates and Danny Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in George W. Deel Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be Edgar Deel, Brady Deel, Edis Deel, Vester Deel, Ronald Deel, Jimmy Deel and Steve Deel . Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Clinton Sutherland, Dr. Sue Prill, Brian Ward and Torque Enterprise employees.
