Lee Oma Cumbo
Clintwood, VA – Lee Oma Cumbo, age 85, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at her residence. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Tilda Edwards Gilbert. She was a homemaker and attended McClure Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Clayton Cumbo, a brother and a sister.
Survivors include her children, Lana Arbutus (Darrell) Owens of Haysi, VA, Janice (Carson) Stanley of Abingdon, VA, Christine Kay Edwards of Clintwood, Wilma Lee Barton of Bristol, VA, Doyle Fayne (Teresa) Cumbo of Haysi, Norman (Veronica) Cumbo of Clintwood, Karen (Jeff) Thomas of Clintwood, and Waymon (Debbie) Cumbo of Vansant, brothers, Roy Gilbert and Turman Gilbert, sisters, Frankie Perrigan, Jerry Mullins, June Fletcher, and Betty Viers, 18 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Greg Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Coyle-Cumbo Cemetery, Haysi. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the funeral service. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
