Haysi, VA- Amanda Burnette Fuller Martinez, age 44 of Greenbrier Road, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA. She was a daughter of Shirley Looney Fuller and the late Tom Fuller. She was last employed as a factory worker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, William and Margie Looney and paternal grandparents, John and Nellie Fuller and a brother, Keaster Fuller.
In addition to her mother, survivors include a son, Andre Marcus (Camellia Lester) Martinez of Big Rock, VA, a step-son, Abel Martinez Jr. of Austin, TX, a grandson, Gabriel Scott Martinez, brothers, A.C. (Vicki) Fuller of Haysi and Doug (Leverne) Fuller of Danville, a sister, Sherry Lee O’quinn of Haysi, a host of nephews and nieces and a special friend Mitchell Counts.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Travis Davis and Aaron Williams officiating. Burial will follow in O’quinn Deel Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
