Genola June Byers Hill
Clinchco, VA – Genola June Byers Hill, age 82, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late William and Princie Counts Harlow. She was a housewife and member of Sandlick Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Byers and a granddaughter, Heather Renee Davis.
Survivors include two daughters, Denise (Garland) Vance of Abingdon, VA and Sonia Davis of Maryville, TN, three grandchildren, Michael Vance, Jordan Davis, and William Davis, and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Morgan Vance.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Benny Sutherland officiating. Burial will follow in the Presley Place Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24 at the funeral home where a song service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
