Melissa Susan Conaway

Haysi, VA – Melissa Susan Conaway, age 52 of Crissie Road, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 at her residence. Born in Michigan, she was a daughter of Doris Ann Owens and the late James Weaver. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Brian Scott Owens.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Darrell Conaway, three children, Nathan (Ashley) Honaker of Clintwood, VA, Talisha Ann (Nathaniel) Comer of Wise, VA, and Jamie Lee (Mindy) Honaker of Clinchco, VA, a step-daughter, Jessica Conaway of Fredericksburg, VA, seven grandchildren, Madison, Lydia, Ethan, Hayden, Brentley, Austin, and Steven, a brother, Kevin Owens of Beckley, WV, and a sister, Teresa Weaver of NC.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Darrell Thacker officiating. Interment will follow in the Conaway Cemetery, Birchleaf, VA. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com. Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
