Rhonda Mae Ratliff Breeding
Birchleaf, VA – Rhonda Mae Ratliff Breeding, age 64, went home to be with the Lord while at her home on Friday, November 13, 2015, surrounded by her beloved family and pets after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Kindred and Lottie Coleman Ratliff. She was preceded in death by her father, Kindred and brothers, Phillip and Steven Ratliff. Rhonda was employed 20+ years by once Dickenson-Buchanan Bank and later retired from Breaks Interstate Park Commission. Strong in her faith in God she attended Sandlick Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 41 years, Charles E. Breeding, a daughter, Amanda Breeding (Jackson Keene) of Nashville, TN, two brothers, Michael (Carolyn) Ratliff of Haysi and Gary Ratliff of Abingdon, VA, and one sister, Tammy (Rick) Mullins of Clintwood, VA. Ratliff nephews and nieces include Jeremy (Teresa) Ratliff, Chandler and Jordan Mullins, and Jacob, Joseph, and Victoria Ratliff. Breeding nephews and nieces include Amanda and Charlie Breeding, David, Emily, Debbie and Willie Keen, Joe Breeding, Jackie Jeanie, Patsy, Robbie, Sherry, Teddy, Donna, Bobbie, and Clifford, Billy, Bobby and Sarah Breeding. She is also survived by many special cousins and close friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Jim O’quinn, Jim Duty, Garnell Gilbert and Noah Kim Edwards officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ratliff Cemetery, (Murphy Road) Vansant, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16 at the funeral home where a song service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
