LEXIE BURCHETT HAY
Clawson, MI- Lexie Burchett Hay, age 88, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016. Born in Haysi, Lexie was a daughter of the late Turner Burchett and Ida Willis Burchett Fleming. She has lived in Georgia, Michigan, Haysi and Knoxville, TN. She returned home to Clawson, Michigan where she has resided for the last three years. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hay, a son, James Hay a sister, Sophia Mullins and brothers, Holliff and Beldon Burchett.
Survivors include two sons, Micky Hay of Clawson, MI and Joel Denny Hay of Texas, two grandchildren, James Hay and Denise Hay Happle both of California.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Haysi Funeral Home. Burial will follow in J.S. Willis Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
