BARBARA ANN COUNTS
Birchleaf, VA- Barbara Ann Counts, age 63, of Tildy Branch, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at her home. Born in Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Sylvia Deel. She was a homemaker and member of Lick Creek Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Counts, a son, Richard Counts, sisters, Betty Charles, Ollie Raines, Birchie Deel, Patsy Blankenbeckler and Pinkie Deel and brothers, James and Lonnie Deel.
Survivors include three sons, David O’quinn and Douglas (LeAnn) Counts both of Haysi and Christopher (Mary) Counts of Abingdon, a daughter, Amanda (Kenny) Mullins of Birchleaf, two sisters, Sue (Norman) Sperow of Birchleaf and Maggie Hackney of Haysi, two brothers, Randy Deel of Warren, MI and Rocky Deel of Haysi, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2016 at Lick Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Lester Mullins, James Moore, and Gary Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sutherland Cemetery, Lick Creek.
Pallbearers will be David O’quinn, Douglas Counts, Christopher Counts, Truman Counts, Tucker Counts, Andrew Counts, Austin Counts and Johnathan Counts.
