Vansant, VA – Fonnie “Fonto” Bostic, age 81 of Little Fox Creek, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at her residence. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Celia Stillwell Ratliff. She was a homemaker and attended Big Fox Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Bostic, brothers, Claude, Arville, Clyde, Walter, and Cleve Ratliff, and sisters, Ethel Ratliff, Patricia Ratliff, Nola Bostic, and Faye Hill
Survivors include a son, Jonas (Anita) Bostic, daughters; Linda (Robert) Boyd, Wanda (Arthur) Deel, Bonita (Keith) Colley, Nita (Leon) Boyd, and Rita (Darell) Boyd all of Vansant, a sister, Betty Shortridge of Vansant. grandchildren; Chris (Becky) Colley, Andrew (Brittany) Colley, Wendy (Cranston) Patrick, Brandon Boyd, Zachary Boyd, Logan Boyd, Justin (Brandi) Boyd, Matthew (Jessica) Boyd, Travis Bostic, Peggy (Jeff) Street, Jason (Stephanie) Boyd, and Adam (Angela) Boyd, and great-grandchildren; Angel and Mary Colley, Faithlyn Colley, Lakenzie Deel, Drake Patrick, Conner Boyd, J.D., Felicia, and Jesse Street, Kaitlyn and Dylan Boyd, and Logan Kim.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Haysi Funeral Home with Lester Boyd and Kyle Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Ratliff Cemetery, Little Fox Creek. Grandsons, family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25 at the funeral home where a service will be with Denver Barton. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
