Martha Lou Rasnake Tiller, age 76, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA, after a short illness. Martha was born May 8, 1940 in Cleveland, VA, daughter of John Branch and Hattie Faye Singleton Rasnake. She was a member of the East Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church and the Church secretary and treasurer for over 35 years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer Renee Rasnake, James “Jimmy” Rasnake and Anthony Ray Rasnake.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Neil C. Tiller, two sons, Brett C. Tiller and wife Katie Hoffman of Gray, TN, Trevor B. Tiller and wife Carrey of Cumberland, VA, three daughters, Teresa T. and husband, Greg A. Browning, Gwynn E. Tiller and Charlotte E. Tiller all of Lebanon, 10 grandchildren, Julie R. and husband Michael Rohrer, Andrea B. Tiller, Maria B. Tiller, Renee D. Tiller, Andrew N. Tiller, Samuel J. Tiller, Jacklin Pearson, Allen Browning and wife Ashley, Samantha and husband Dustin Salyer, and Savannah Browning, 4 great grandchildren, Makayla Rohrer, Madi Rohrer, Brayden Salyer and Isabelle Browning, five sisters, Janice Kiser of Bristol, TN, Emily Kay Hart of Chester Hills, OH, Sheila Gilmer and Judy and husband Jack Shutters of Bristol, VA, Brenda Greene of Wilksboro, NC, three brothers, Samuel Rasnake and wife Sharon, Larry Rasnake and wife Peggy both of Salem, VA and Gary Rasnake and wife, Prudy of Ferndale, MI and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 27, 2016 at East Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Eivens Tiller Cemetery, Bee, VA. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 9:00 a.m. at the church on Sunday prior to funeral service.
