Obituary for Donald Jones

Donald  Jones
HERBERT DONALD JONES II
Haysi, VA- Herbert Donald Jones II, age 62 of Driftwood Road, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN. Born in Abingdon, he was a son of the late Herbert D. Jones and Cora Elizabeth Michaels Jones. He was a graduate of Coeburn High School, completed his Pre-med at Clinch Valley College and was a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia of the Virginia Commonwealth University. He was a member of the Pharmaceutical Association and was co-owner of Jones and Counts Pharmacy. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a baby sister.
Survivors include his wife, Lenoir Ketron Jones, three children, Sarah Beth Lawson and husband Brett Lawson, Sabrina Lynn Jones and husband Daniel Cantrell and Ryan Donald Jones, three grandchildren, Carter, Crosby and Lincoln Lawson, a sister, Joy Lord and husband Robert of Chesapeake, a brother, Michael Jones and wife Rita of Coeburn and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Sluss and T.J. Mcamis officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, at Greenwood Cemetery, Coeburn, VA. Pallbearers will be Brian Pate, Andrew Pate, Brandon Ketron, Shane Barton, Jon Jones, Jeremy Counts, Zack Counts, Jacob Colley and Lance Compton. The funeral procession will leave the church at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church prior to funeral service.
