DELMER W. BOYD
Davenport, VA- Delmer W. Boyd, age 81, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at home where he was born on October 13, 1935 in Buchanan County. He was a son of the late Rev. Elbert M. and Cora L. Boyd. He was last employed in Newport News working in a shipyard. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ollie Mae Charles.
Survivors include his fiancé, Ethel Stilwell of Davenport, a brother, Arlen (Gloria) Boyd of Bristol, nephews, Gregory (Sherry) Boyd and Lynnus Charles, nieces, Retha Gail (Eddie) Hay and Nancy Charles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with D.J. Barton and Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Boyd Cemetery, Davenport, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
