Vansant, VA- Jesse Mack Epling, age 61 of Boyd Ridge Road, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his home. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Claude and Margarette Hay Epling. He was last employed as a coal miner and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clyde and Cuba Lester.
Survivors include two sons, Jason Epling of Davenport and Caleb (Courtney) Epling of Cedar Bluff, 3 grandchildren, Dakota and Paislee Epling,and Jaci Culbertson, best friend, Linda Jackson, special nephew, Scottie Hubbard and a great-nephew, Brandon Hubbard.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Price Viers and Garnell Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 on Wednesday prior to service. Honorary pallbearers will be Scottie Hubbard, Donald Viers, Joe Compton, Matthew Harris, Michael Harris, Jason Stiltner, Randall Turner and Ransome Breeding.
