Vansant, VA- Kyle Bostic, age 72, went home to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy, VA. Born in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late John and Phebba Boyd Bostic. He was a coal miner and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Bostic.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Hattie Faye Bostic, a daughter, Rebecca Bostic of the home, a son, Marty (Paige) Bostic, a brother, Harold (Linda) Bostic of Lebanon, a sister, Marsha Ball of Honaker, two step-daughters, Anita (Jonas) Bostic and Regina (Steve) Boyd both of Vansant, two step-sons, Jerry (Garnie) Howard of Patterson, VA and Morgan Howard of N.C., 2 grandchildren, Kristen Bostic and Kylie Bostic, 8 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Bee Pentecostal Church with Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson’s Flat Cemetery, Bee, VA. Pallbearers will be Jonas Bostic, Pee Wee Lester, Jessee Street, Charles Stevens, Lester Ray, Ronald Deel and Charles Boyd. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. with Lonnie Fuller officiating.
