Billy Tiller
Clinchco, VA – Billy Tiller, 69 years of age, went to be with Lord on Friday, September 15, 2017 after a long illness. The son of Levi and Cynthia Barton Tiller, Billy was born February 5, 1948 in Council, VA. Billy was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and most of all a friend. Billy was a former employee of Island Creek Coal Company. Those who knew Billy knew him for his love of “Big Time” wrestling and his love of painting vehicles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Bobby Tiller and a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Tiller.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Chloe Johnson Tiller, two sons, Billy Roger Tiller and Jerry Wayne Tiller all of Clinchco, a daughter, Denise Slone of Council, two sisters, Louise Tiller Wilson of Vansant, VA and Della Mae Tiller Osborne of Mt. Carmel, TN, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at Haysi Funeral Home with Evangelist Josh Bowman officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 19 at the Tiller Cemetery, Tiller Town. Pallbearers will be Lynn Gilbert, Curtis Blankenship, Jr., Jimmy Osborne, Dallas Johnson, and Martin Tiller. Honorary pallbearers will be employee of Haysi Drug, family and friends.
