Dearest Elder Billy,
My mom (Wanda Powers) just told me on the phone of your passing. It really didn't hit me until I saw your handsome picture in the Bristol paper online. Then heard those beautiful words of God spewing from your voice as you baptized me in the Tumbling creek back in 1995. You had such a powerful voice of God. I don't know if anyone remembers that day but it had rained like cats and dogs all night practically flooding. The waters were rolling in great swirls but right where you and Elder Hugh Blevins baptized me the waters were calm and clear as a crystal. In my mind, I can hear you right now, and it is such a powerful beautiful voice. I just wanted to share this beautiful memory....
Sister Bonnie and family,
I just wanted to send my condolences. I am sorry for your loss of a husband, father, brother, and beloved friend. I know Brother Billy suffered with his afflictions for a lifetime. I am sad but also happy to hear of his home going. My God give you strength to carry on. I just wanted to send my love and let you know I am thinking of you. May God bless you All.
All my love, Angie
