Obituary for Henry Perry "Bobby" Johnson

HENRY PERRY “BOBBY” JOHNSON
Louisa, VA- Henry Perry “Bobby” Johnson, beloved father and grandfather, age 69, passed away peacefully with God’s loving grace Friday, June 1, 2018 in Charlottesville, VA following a short illness. Born August 25, 1948 in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Cecil and Marie Hess Johnson. He was a United States Marine Veteran. He loved playing bluegrass music on his mandolin, guitar and fiddle, enjoyed hunting, gardening, fishing and sitting on the front porch of his property that he fondly referred to as his Ponderosa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Johnson and a sister, Rosie Alice Johnson.
Survivors include a son, Robert Johnson, a daughter Tina Finley and husband, Cory, longtime companion, Tammy Pruitt and spouse, Sharon Johnson, two sisters, Jeanette McGlothin and Gretta Johnson, four brothers, Norman, Harmon Roy, Jacob and Joseph, two grandchildren, Brittany and Cody and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Garnell Gilbert, Jim Duty and Barrett McGlothlin officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Family Cemetery, Vansant, VA. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted. The family will receive friends after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to funeral service.
