Reba Edra Owens
Haysi, VA – On July 20, 2018, God took another angel home. Reba Edra Owens, 1925-2018 of Haysi joined her parents William and Sylvia White, her 17 brothers and sisters, her husband, Eric Cecil Owens, two sons, Greg Owens and Paul Owens, and a grandson, Aaron Mackey.
She is survived by a son, Carl (Pat) Owens of St. Cloud, FL and daughters, Beth (Rick) Mackey of Haysi, Carmen (Greg) Owens of Belleville, MI, and Debbie (Paul) Owens of Faquay Varina, NC, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend and caretaker, Agnes Cox. Mom loved her family and liked nothing better than having as many as possible around her. She was a teacher and friend to many and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elder Roger Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the Owens Cemetery, Lick Creek, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
