NATHAN CURTIS O’QUINN
Birchleaf, VA- Nathan Curtis O’quinn, age 29 of Thunder Road, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Birchleaf, VA. Born in Abingdon, he was a son of Tony Curtis and Patricia Blankenship O’quinn. He was a 2007 Haysi High School graduate and was employed for Contura as a Diesel Mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wilburn Blankenship and uncle Edward Blankenship.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his girlfriend and companion of 13 yrs., Whitney Mullins, a sister, Nichole (Matthew) Yates of Clinchco, VA, Maternal grandmother, Ruth (Danny) Fuller of Birchleaf, Paternal Grandmother, Blanche O’quinn (Kermit) of Vansant, Paternal Grandfather, Curtis O’quinn of Haysi, Great grandmother, Ethel O’quinn of Grundy, Aunts and Uncles, Charlene Blankenship, Lisa (Harley) Colley, Sherry (Gary) Frazier and Wayne Blankenship.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders David O’quinn, Steve Lyall and Frank and Eddie Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Blankenship Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be friends.
