Vansant, VA- Kent Edmon Robinson, age 65 of New Camp Branch Road, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. Born in Highland, MI, he was a son of the late Fred Edmon and Gertie Rose Owens Robinson. He was last employed as a mobile home mover and was a member of Duty Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Joan Mullins and niece, Laurie Briest.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Robinson, a son, Larry (Sam) Robinson of Vansant, a granddaughter, Isabel Martinez, sisters, Laura (Bob) Briest and Brenda (Bill) Mooney both of Birchleaf and Joyce (Gary) Vance of Haysi, brothers-in-law, Ben Mullins and Terry Mullins of Luray,VA a special friend, Mike Coleman and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Gospel Grass Trio, Jason Godsey and Mike Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to funeral service. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday at Robinson Cemetery, Robinson Mtn., Birchleaf, VA. with Brandon Castle officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
