Clinchco, VA- Trula Agnes Turner Davis, age 93, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Mountain View Hospital in Norton, VA. Born in Dickenson County, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Clarence and Rosie Ellen Viers Hearl. She was a homemaker and member of Sandlick Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred G. Turner and second husband, Henry Davis, a sister, Patricia Brooks and a brother, Clarence Hearl.
Survivors include daughters, Janice Sue Rose and Joyce (Johnny) Viers both of Haysi, Judy (Larry) Compton of Bee, Pauline (Jerry) Stanley of Birchleaf and Alfreda Mullins (Kristy Deel) of Clinchco and a son, John (Rebecca) Turner of Duffield, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 grandpuppies, a step-daughter, a step-son, and several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders, Jim O’Quinn, Jeff Dotson and Shawn Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in R.D. Viers Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons. The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25 at the funeral home with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. with Elders Jim O’quinn, Price Viers, Garnell Gilbert and Jeff Dotson officiating.
