Bee, VA – Mickey Wade Barton, age 57 of Indian Creek Road, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018. He was a son of the late Gregory Lane and Betty Jo Taylor Barton. He was of the Baptist faith and last employed by Dickenson-Russell Coal Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Clay and Hallie Taylor and paternal grandparents, Ira and Rachel Barton.
Survivors include his wife Rebecca Barton, two sons, Gregory (Allison) Barton of Rocky Mt. VA and Joseph Barton of Abingdon, VA, a sister, Wrenda Barton of Haysi, VA, mother-in-law, Inell Turner of Vansant, VA, sister-in-law, Rosetta (Larry) Ashby of Council, VA, brothers-in-law, Randall (Marlene) Turner of Vansant, Robin (Rebecca) Turner of Rosedale, VA, Anson (Janet) Turner of Chesterfield, VA, and Rex Turner of Vansant, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Rev. James Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in the Eivens Tiller Cemetery, Bee, VA. Pallbearers will be Steve Barton, Morris Barton, Hackey Addington, Anthony Anderson, Brad Childress, Terry Barton, Rick Barton, and Rocky Barton. The family will receive friends after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the funeral home, where a prayer and song service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Carl Burmeier.
