McClure, VA- Glenna Fern Senter, age 63 of Church Street, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her home. Born in Grundy, VA, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Shearl Edwards and Betty Colley Edwards. She was a homemaker and of the Primitive Baptist faith. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Brian Nelson and a brother Elvis Gene Edwards.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Clarida Senter Jr., her children, Christina Phillips of Pennsicola, FL, Michael Nelson of Clinchco, Sammy Nelson of TN, Ryan Nelson and Jeffrey (Beth) Nelson both of Dante, siblings, Roy Dean Edwards of Haysi, Beulah (Doug) Prater of Clinchco and Shirley Edwards of Clintwood and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders, Jeff Dotson, Price Viers and Noah Kim Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Family Cemetery, Hale Mtn. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20 at the funeral home with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. with Tam Hill officiating. Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
