Obituary for Lenton Gleason Silcox

LENTON GLEASON SILCOX
Clintwood, VA- Lenton Gleason Silcox, age 70 of Liberty Court, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at his home. Born in Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Curtis and Frances Bartley Silcox. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired coal miner and member of Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Nadine Smith, Vernell Hill, Pamela Jean Kender and Kelsie Mae Sykes and brothers, J.R. Silcox and Bobby Silcox.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl Silcox and Nadine Kent and a son, Jason Silcox all of Minnesota, 1st ex-wife, Evie Silcox and 2nd ex-wife, Elizabeth Silcox, two brothers, Andy Paul (Vicki) Silcox of Clintwood, Willard Silcox of Fl and a sister, Justine Mullins of IL, a brother-in-law, Giles Sykes, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Sluss officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Cemetery, Nealey Ridge, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the church with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com Haysi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
