ROGER GENE HILL
Haysi, VA- Roger Gene Hill, age 64 of Wagon Trail, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. He was a son of Oliver Hill and the late June Bartley Hill. He was last employed as a lumber stacker at a sawmill and was of the Freewill Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a niece, Amanda Cumbo.
In addition to his father, survivors include two sisters, Janet (Darryl) Silcox and Teresa (Doyle) Cumbo both of Haysi and a brother, Danny (Debbie) Hill of Haysi, nephews, Larry Hill, Fayne Cumbo and Dustin Cumbo and nieces, Heather Allen and Janet Cantrell and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at Haysi Funeral Home with Danny Sluss, Jerry Vitatoe, Allen Viers and Danny Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Bartley-Hill Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be Doyle Cumbo, Dustin Cumbo, Greg Edwards and Louie Garrett.
