Memories

As David said, Rita's parents were our grandparents, she came to live with them when she was born.  My sister and I always saw Rita as our cousin, although we knew our grandparents were her parents.

It has been several years since I had seen Rita.  As we grew and had families of our own, we did not stay in touch. Only at an occassional reunion would we see each other.  When we were young, we loved visiting our grandparents.  Rita was always there to play with when we were children.  The three of us had to sleep in Rita's twin bed, which was lots of fun since it was so small!  Rita had lots of chores to do, but she still had time for play. Even as a child she was a quiet, reserved person but we still had plenty of fun.

Rita loved her mother so much.  She and Elva always took care of Grandma.  I remember watching them do her hair and other personal things for her. Rita was such a good daughter.  Both of our Grandparents dearly loved her.

I have so many fond memories of Rita.  I will remember her with happiness, being glad that I knew this sweet person.

Deepest sympathy to all of Rita's family.  May you, with time, also be able to remember all the wonderful things she was to you. RIP
