Knoxville, TN – Jessa Denae Thomas, age 25, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was a daughter of Donnie Thomas and Glenda Rena Sykes. She was employed as a waitress and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Curtis Thomas.
Survivors include her husband, Jamie Ray Mullins of Clintwood, VA, a son, Jaxton Scott Mullins, parents, Donnie (Michelle) Thomas of Clintwood and Glenda Rena Sykes of Haysi, VA, a sister, Heather Rena Thomas of Clintwood, maternal grandparents, Glenn and Linda Sykes of Haysi, paternal grandmother, Leona Thomas of Birchleaf, VA, step-brother, Brandon Gentry, and a step-sister, Tabitha Mullins.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Tarpon Freewill Baptist Church with Jeremiah Sluss officiating. Burial will follow in the Sykes Cemetery, Tarpon, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be on Wednesday, May 16, at Haysi Funeral Home starting at 6:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
