Fannie Mae  Lane (Owens)
FANNIE MAE LANE
Vansant, VA- Fannie Mae Lane, age 92, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at her home. Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the late Harman and Matilda Arrington Owens. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Meredith Virgil Lane, a son, Michael Lane, a son-in-law, Larry Johnson, two daughters-in-law, Teresa Lane and Mary Lane and siblings, Grethal, Guy, Bealuh, Emily Gay, Bruce and Lonnie.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Johnson of Huddeston, VA four sons, Larry (Wanda) Lane and Randy (Diana) Lane both of Vansant, Douglas (Glenda) Lane of Haysi and Jeffery (Karen) Lane of Vansant, 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and a sister, Imogene Deel of Jacksonville, FL.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Haysi Funeral Home with Dale Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in Lane Cemetery, Vansant, VA. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. with J.N. Howard officiating.
