Dora Wallace Grandaughter of Bob and Delphia Newberry
I grew up knowing Andy as our "mailman." He was a lifelong family friend of my Papaw Bob. Andy was such a light in my life for as long as I can recall. The photo chosen of him here is perfect, because his smile was his best attribute, it was part of who he was. When I see Andy in my mind I see his smile first! I then hear his kind voice.
Andy was one of those special people whose light shone brightly always. You felt better when you seen him. Sunday morning I know will be very sad at Splashdam knowing Andy won't be there anymore. His presence will be missed in Dickenson County for years to come.
I know my Papaw and Mamaw, my Aunts and Uncles on Big Ridge too as well as their children and grandchildren each and every one of them loved Andy. He was and always will be held in my heart with the utmost respect. Those of you blessed enough to call him family I know have a great grief to bear missing him. My prayers are with each of you now and in the days, weeks and months ahead as you grieve the lost of this wonderful man.
Psalm 147:3 The Lord heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
